Not only are gas prices as high as they've been all year in London, they're now approaching record territory.
That's almost more expensive than the all-time local high of $1.37 per litre.
When we were paying those prices in September of 2008, oil was selling for $146 a barrel. Almost three years later, gas prices have returned to near record levels while crude has plummeted.
Oil was trading at just under $108 a barrel early Friday.
This time last year, most London stations were charging 99 cents a litre for regular. That's what drivers in most parts of Michigan are paying right now.
